Frequently Asked Questions

Enrollment and participation is free and online as well as offered in English and Spanish. The enrollment process is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly. Click HERE to enroll and gain access to the courses. You will create a username and password to continue accessing the program and pick up where you left off. Admissions counselors are available to assist with the enrollment process if necessary.

Throughout the program, there will be knowledge checks; however, there are no deadlines. This program is designed to be self-paced so you can progress through the modules at your own speed.

No, this training program is online and self-paced. There is no requirement to attend or login at a specific time.

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi upon completing each course. Additionally, upon successfully finishing all three courses, participants will receive a "master" certificate, recognising their achievement across the entire training program.

The program is designed so that people interested in oyster farming can take just the oyster farming course and same with the business development course and the oyster hatchery course. You can take any of the three courses first, second and/or third.

The courses are designed to start with the first module and sequentially take you through each module until you finish the final module. The first and last modules of each program are surveys that must be filled out for completion.

Yes, as we gain user and industry feedback about the program, we will update the program regularly to stay compliant with industry standards and up to date regulations.

Yes, along with online training programs, we will be providing a limited number of internships to work directly on oyster farms and at oyster hatcheries. We will also be providing periodic workshops centered around business development and culinary experiences.
